Publishers

Fingertips delivers access to the Internet's best news and interest Publishers. The site enables users to bring together all of their favourite Publishers in one place, increasing awareness and ease of access to the wealth of information at their disposal.

We are committed to developing long and lasting relationships with all selected Publishers. Showcasing quality news and interest stories from across the web, Fingertips aims to encourage traffic to all our Publishers through the increased exposure of their articles.

Fingertips editorial policy ensures the site is exclusively comprised of credible and quality Publishers, free from inflammatory or defamatory content.

Content
No content from any feed has been interfered with. Fingertips faithfully reproduces the information supplied on every feed "as is". Article headlines, snippets and images are displayed as the feed supplies.

Fingertips will never "house" any article. That is to say the article will never be displayed on the Fingertips site, surrounded by information from our commercial partners or passed off as our own.

Only the feed content is displayed, with clear attribution to the Publisher and specific feed from where the information has been provided. Fingertips is committed to providing the exact news and information from every Publisher, as the Publisher themselves supplies this, to enable users to link off to the actual article.

Feed names
Fingertips visibly, explicitly and directly credits every RSS feed used on the site. Both the Publisher and individual feed name are credited, in accordance with that supplied by the Publisher. Where a specific feed name is not supplied by a Publisher, the generic feed name "News" is given beside the Publisher’s name. On rare occasions, if an un-named feed can be given a more appropriate name (i.e. "Features") or one more sympathetic to that Publisher's content (i.e. "Style & Beauty") this has been done.

Fingertips strives to make every feed from every Publisher as clear as possible to the user in literal terms and as faithful as possible to the Publisher in accredited terms. If you would like a feed name changing, email editorial@fingertips.net

Favicons
To pictorially represent the selected RSS feeds, Fingertips uses the favicon (the Publisher-designed logo that sits beside the URL in the address toolbar) from the specific site. This is reproduced as it appears on the Publisher’s site.

Where there is no favicon for a Publisher’s site, Fingertips has created a design to represent this Publisher.

If you would like to change the favicon attributed to your site please email editorial@fingertips.net to discuss options for this.

Allocation of RSS feeds
Fingertips has allocated all RSS feeds as it has deemed editorially suitable and according to the most relevant category on the site. Obviously there is a certain amount of subjectivity to this process so if you have any queries, or would like to discuss this with us, please email editorial@fingertips.net.

Notify us of a scheduled change
If you are about to change the coding/URL of an RSS feed, are redesigning your favicon or embarking on any modification of the site that you would like to ensure is replicated on Fingertips, please email editorial@fingertips.net

Submit your site
Fingertips welcomes the recommendation of new Publishers and feeds by users or the Publishers themselves. If you wish to recommend a site or feed for inclusion, please contact our editorial team (editorial@fingertips.net) who are happy to review the RSS feeds, consider them for inclusion and then allocate them on the site.
